Fall is almost here, so it’s time for us to think about the new season’s trends. Like every year, the main colors of the season are those of the leaves (earth tones, fire colors), with the addition of some brights (fuchsia, neon yellow, violet). The peplum is still in, and we’ve seen lots of lace and silk on the runway. But what about eyewear, what do the designers opt for in fall 2012?
1. Oversized sunglasses
Oversized sunglasses are great for protecting your eyes against UV rays. No matter what shape you choose, just make sure it’s big! Some of our recommendations include the Emporio Armani 9837/s sunglasses ($116) and the Missoni MI667 ($147).
2. Round sunglasses
Round sunglasses look good in any size, and they’re super flattering especially if your face is square or generally angular. Acetate ones are especially coveted, like for example the Ralph Lauren RL8071 ($258) or the Prada PR27NS sunglasses ($198).
3. Colored lenses sunglasses
You don’t have to stick with gradient gray and Havana for your lenses anymore! Bright colors are very popular this fall: yellow, purple, blue or mirror lenses. Some of our favorites are the Ray Ban RB3029 sunglasses ($130) and the Backstage Wallflower ($57).
4. Cat eye shaped sunglasses
The retro cat eye shape is here to stay. Try an embellished on as seen on Dolce&Gabbana, a futuristic one like Acne or even eyeglasses, like L.A.M.B. To get the look, we picked the Versace VE4214 sunglasses ($142) and the Tom Ford FT0173 ($232).
