Wedding Accessories – Pearls

If you are planning your big day, you must have been very busy lately by planning, organizing the wedding day of your dreams. Yes, everything has to be perfect – the ceremony, the reception, wedding venue, music, wedding cake… But, one thing is certainly the most important to you – to look fabulous! The gown, makeup, hair and accessories are perhaps the things you, let’s be honest, think about gladly. Natural or cultured, shiny pearls are stylish and many brides consider them as their wedding accessories, especially because they really work well with wedding gowns. We will try to share some tips on how to choose the right pearls for your wedding style.

The collar style – works best with a plunging neckline. It is made of 3 or more pearl strands that goes securely around your neck. Very stylish, very Victorian. For more formal wedding gowns and styles.

The choker style – looks lovely with a bateau or jewel neckline. This is simple, yet very elegant style – just one strand of pearls worn around the collar. This is an ideal choice for classic wedding dresses and brides who prefer minimalism and simplicity. However, if too much of your skin is showing, the choker style will get lost and therefore you should pick up something more complex.

The Princess style – single strand falling below the hollow of your throat and this length is perfect if you want to add a pendant.

The opera style – single strand falling below your bust. This style goes well with bateau or jewel neckline, also, but the cons is that it swings wildly while you are dancing.

The Matinee style – the length somewhere in between the Princess and the Opera. This style works well with a jewel, bateau, lower neckline (when sheer fabric covers your decolletage area). However, the length should not hit the top of the wedding dress or (in case of sheer fabrics) the fullest part of your bust.
The rope style – so jazzy! It hangs below your waist and looks really elegant, artistic and different. However, more than the opera style, the rope will swing very much when you dance.
