5There is a general trend when it comes to footwear this spring and summer, it’s becoming more refined. Style sensibility is what has been changed and its less coarse, clunky and chunky, in particular when it comes to the heel shape. Visually, footwear looks more tailored and elegant. Also, other shoes like boots, shooties, sneakers and booties have more refined versions. So, what is trendy this summer and spring? If you take a look at the Fall 2013 runways, you’ll see that many of these styles apply to Fall, too. 

Pointy toes are what we can see on all shoes types: ballet flats, heels, closed-toe sandals, shooties, booties, oxfords.

Peep-toe shooties and booties are very trendy, especially with closed heels.

Caged (covered) sandals have been seen at retail for a while and it resembles less covered peep-toe booties or sandal-booties with many straps. Usually, heels are exposed.

Booties and shooties have become completely season-less and these days you can wear them with almost anything. Black boots for women have nowadays versions bot hot and cold weather. You can look vamp, sexy and adventurous year around.

Flat Oxfords can be seen in many versions and the assortment keeps on growing as the style becomes more popular and stronger.

Pastels, mid-tone and white (from optical to stone) clothing is so trendy these seasons, so it also applies to footwear trends. When it comes to patterns, for all of you who like them, animal and floral prints are still in trend. Metallic footwear is now shinier than it was, all because of that Sci-Fi trend that should create that space-age look and vibe. Silver, gold and pewter metal-toe caps can be seen on almost every footwear styles: shooties, booties, oxfords, slipper flats, pumps etc.
