Semi permanent makeup has become increasingly popular because of all the benefits. First of all, it is the convenient way if you want to eliminate daily makeup applying or if you need to disguise those unsightly blemishes that are hard or impossible to remove by some simple cosmetic treatment. So, semi permanent makeup is both simple and effective and as a result it will give you an attractive look, but more important, it will renew your self-confidence. However, the quality of this treatment depends both on proper applying and appropriate aftercare. During the two weeks long healing period, you should follow the instructions your cosmetician gives you. Swelling and/or redness are possible to occur, but soon that will subside.
For the healing period, you should certainly avoid swimming (sea, lake, swimming pool) or any other prolonged contact with water. Sunscreen total is a must and you should avoid direct sunlight, sunbeds, sauna, steam room. You should not rub or scratch, because it could cause infection or uneven healing. So, exfoliating and peeling products should not be used on the treated area, as well as wearing makeup. Extreme cold or hot should also be avoided. When treating your lips with semi permanent makeup, you should, at least for the first few days take water and other liquids through a straw. Also, try not to touch lips, yawn too wide and laugh exaggeratedly. Try not to eat anything spicy or hot for at least 4 days.
Semi permanent makeup is a process that produces some micro-wounds and there is a possibility that your skin reacts to the treatment. This reactions usually appear soon after the procedure and commonly last from two to five days.
