Traveling Beauty Survival Strategy

It’s a summer vacation season and most of us are traveling somewhere: be it a family reunion, seaside vacation or a city break. Although exciting and fun, taking a trip is always a little bit stressful, especially if you’re trying to look good while traveling! We asked flight attendances for their beauty survival strategy and here’s what we found out! These simple tips will surely help you feel and look gorgeous while jetting halfway around the globe!

1 – Moisturizing

The night before you travel, don’t forget to apply intense moisturizer. It’s the perfect way to increase hydration in your skin in order to prepare it for the dehydrating effects of any trip. Wear moisturizer while traveling, too.

2 – Skip Foundation

Although this piece of advice sounds impossible for most women, it’s highly recommended to avoid foundation while traveling. If you just cannot do it, put on a primer before applying foundation, because it puts a protection between makeup and your skin. Also, a primer helps blush and foundation last longer, while it keeps skin from dehydrating. However, if you are ready to leave out any foundation while flying, before you land you could add a tinted moisturizer for a healthy, natural and fresh look.

3 – Fight Excess Oil

If your skin is oily, you just need to take control of it while traveling. To succeed in that, you could bring rice papers and blotting papers to dab the “T” zone from time to time (when it’s necessary). This way, you will look fresh without stripping out the moisture.

4 – Say NO to The Long-lasting Lipstick

Although they are created to give lips color that will last throughout the busy day, long-lasting lipsticks are not a good choice for traveling, because they can dehydrate and parch your lips. Instead, apply several coats of a lip stain and top it with your favorite clear gloss. Throughout the trip, you can reapply the gloss to make your lips look fresh and sensual.

5 – Fight Under-Eye Puffiness

Put crushed ice in a cloth and apply it under your eyes. Not only is this going to wake you up, but your eyes will also look and feel immediately fresher!

6 – Don’t Touch Your Face

You should keep hands off your facial skin to minimize breakouts while traveling. If, however, you need to apply makeup, make sure you use an antibacterial hand wash before it.
