Donna Karan’s Spring/Summer 2015 Ready to Wear Collection

KARAN_0061A few months ago, Donna Karan presented her Spring 2015 – Ready to Wear collection in New York. From my opinion, this collection was extraordinary good – desirable, uncomplicated and vibrant. It seems this fashion designer was amazed and inspired by NYC street art. Frankly, the prints and embroideries in shades of red, indigo, ivory and black were the stars of the collection. And, of course, those towering straw hats!

Donna Karan chose models who were as glowing and healthy as the look they were meant to evoke. Indeed, that was an incredible celebration of curvaceousness! Womanly, that would be the right word to define this collection. What’s more, Donna Karan unleashed artistic and rebellious side of her 50s-inspired (but, still fresh) silhouettes by scribbling, smattering and splashing her fabrics with graffiti. Nevertheless, the designer showed that she still has her finger on the pulse of urban fashion. With amazing bra tops and shirt dresses that cannot be avoided these seasons, Donna Karan offered some of the best fashion pieces. And, although the runways show has taken its inspiration from the NYC streets, this designer found the way to incorporate street-art elements into a modern woman’s wardrobe, in the best possible way!
